1DCS Linear Tolerance Analysis software allows users to quickly develop and analyze various design objectives and areas of concern. Determining the best assembly process is paramount to achieving efficient product quality. To make that possible, 1DCS uses a simple assembly tree to display the relationships between parts and sub-assemblies. Each part, sub-assembly, and fixture is identified in the correct assembly process and each element in the assembly tree is assigned its associated
tolerance. This tree serves as a quick and user-friendly interface through which the user can perform his or her studies.
1DCS offers users the ability to allocate tolerances to determine the component capability required to meet overall assembly objectives (Roll-down), as well as determine the overall assembly variation based on actual tolerance capability (Roll-Up). This solution was designed
to allow for the fast creation and evaluation of multiple alternative design/build
strategies with varied tolerance and datum scenarios. Using 1DCS in the early
phases of design concept development facilitates quick and efficient achievement
of a robust design.

Purchasing Options / Licensing Methods The 1DCS software is offered in two different licensing options, Node Locked and Site Floating.
- Node Locked - a license tied to a single computer and provides access to the software only from that computer.
- Site Floating - offers greater flexibility and power by allowing the software to be installed and used from multiple computers within your site on a concurrent user basis. The license file resides on a common Windows based server for access by users within the purchasing site. For example if you purchased two 'Site Floating' licenses, two people can use the software simultaneously. When a third person attempts
to use the software, while the first two are still using the application, that individual will receive a license error.
