GDM-Web Structure / Components


1. Data Translation

Data can originate from a multitude of measurement devices, as well as different formats, throughout your organization.  The power of GDM-Web is that it can be used to import data from virtually any measurement device, such as CMM, in-line inspection, fastening equipment, handheld gauges, etc.  Dimensional Control Systems will work with your quality staff to understand and filter these output formats such as to provide a common and consistent format for your database, or a database that can be included in the system.

2. Database Connectivity / Storage Tables

The database is where all of your quality data, and corresponding GDM-3D templates, are stored.  Whether this is from a single plant or an entire corporate / world wide organization, GDM-Web is designed to efficiently manage your quality data environment.   Dimensional Control Systems can connect GDM-Web to your database or install our standard dimensional database.  Customization to support any special requirements is available.

3. GDM-3D

GDM-3D is our core 3-Dimensional graphic reporting software used for the creation of measurement data reports / templates.  As a stand-alone solution GDM-3D reports can be populated with data and saved for future use or converted to either an HTML or PDF file for printing/email distribution.  When used in conjunction with the GDM-Web solution, the created GDM-3D reports act as templates for populating and reporting of the queried data sets and viewing across your secure intranet via the GDM-Web “Client”.  More info>

4. GDM-Web “Client”

GDM-Web “Client” is the license that allows users to access two HTML pages, ‘GDM-Web Gateway’ and ‘GDM-Web QA’ (Quality Assurance).  These pages act as the portal or front-end for query, review, and storage of measurement data.  You use the “Client” to open GDM-3D reports and templates that were created in GDM-3D Analyst and stored in the database.  This is done through a standard web browser within your secure intranet with userid and password protection.
