Michigan. � January 10, 2003 � Dimensional Control Systems
Inc. (DCS) is awarded a
contract by KITECH (Korea
Institute of Industrial Technology), Korea, to participate
in a research project �Development of an Efficient Algorithm
for Accurate Analysis of Dimensional Variation�. Besides
DCS, Digital Shipbuilding Innovation Center at SNU
(Seoul National University),
HIU (Hong-Ik University),
and 21CS (21st Century Shipyard) are also
participating in this KITECH led research project to help the
shipbuilding industry.
DCS
is the world leader in the establishment of dimensional
management practices and the development of dimensional
variation simulation and analysis tools. DCS is currently
developing shipbuilding specific tool focusing on dimensional
effect of weld shrinkage and distortion, under the ONR
funded SBIR program.
The expertise and knowledge of DCS will help the project in
the development of an efficient algorithm for accurate
dimensional variation analysis for the shipbuilding industry.
